We set up keypads, fobs, and card readers on building and office doors, so you decide who gets in.
What is access control?
Access control replaces or backs up keys with a code, a fob, or a card. Each person gets their own, and when someone moves out or leaves the job, you turn off their fob instead of changing the locks. It works on lobby doors, office suites, gates, and back entrances.
When people call us for this
- A co-op or rental building wants fobs on the front door.
- An office wants each employee to have their own code.
- Too many keys are floating around and you want to stop cutting more.
- An old keypad stopped working and needs to be replaced.
Does it work with my intercom?
Often, yes. Many buildings pair a fob reader with the intercom, so residents use a fob and guests buzz up. We look at what you have and tell you what can stay and what should change.
Will we still have a key?
Yes. Most doors keep a key cylinder as a backup, and we set that up on a master key if you want one.
How do I get a quote?
Call us or text photos of the door, the frame, and any reader or keypad on it now. We give you a written quote before any work starts.
Frequently asked
Can you add a reader to an old door?
Usually, yes. Older pre-war doors sometimes need an electric strike or new hardware, and we tell you before we start.
Who manages the fobs?
You do. We show you how to add and turn off fobs or codes when we finish the job.
